Huka Dance

The Huka Dance is a traditional Maori dance where the particpants chant "Huka! Huka! huhukaaa!" whilst displaying various facial expressions with major use of the tongue and wide opened eyes.
You can also use your feet, arms and hands for a full body dance.

Generally the idea is to try and look as scary as possible when doing the huka dance!

You can watch and participate in the huka dance all over New Zealand, with Rotorua being a central location for the Maori culture.
